About Me

I am a writer/reporter based in Austin, Texas.

My start in media began as the publisher and editor of “Nature Savers,” a conservation magazine my friend and I launched in the first grade. In those days, our publication process required only some paper, a typewriter and access to the photocopy machine in my mother’s office. Times may have changed, by my passion for writing and reporting have not.

Since graduating with an English degree from Vassar College, I have written for both print and online publications – and for both professionals and the general public. In New York, my equity market reports for Thomson Financial were read by market analysts and corporate clients. Following a move to Austin in 2005, I enjoyed an internship in the editorial department at Texas Monthly magazine. In my next role, I produced articles, blogs and interviews as an online reporter for personal finance website CreditCards.com. Currently, I am employed as a writer in the communications department at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
